Dear Parents/Guardians: Early today we received information of a possible threat. Law enforcement was contacted immediately. The report was investigated with the assistance of Jackson County Deputies and Oklahoma Highway Patrol Officers. After all possible sources of information were interviewed, it was determined that the report was not credible, and was not confirmed. A thorough search was conducted and no weapon was found. We appreciate the assistance of law enforcement in assuring that our students are safe.

Due to a report of a possible threat that has been denied at this time, Navajo Public School will have additional law enforcement security on campus today. We have been in contact with law enforcement and at this time feel that the threat is unsubstantiated. Navajo administration takes all reports seriously and will investigate this thoroughly with law enforcement involved.
