Representative Kendrix visited our AG students yesterday as he and Mrs. Nance toured and discussed possible building updates for the AG/Tech Ed building as we approach Election Day next Tuesday, September 12, 2023. Community members living in the Navajo School District can vote in the upcoming school bond proposal to renovate and remodel the 43-year-old AG/Tech Ed building.


Mrs. House’s 5th grade science classes made oobleck today to wrap up their unit about matter! They learned that it has properties of both a solid and a liquid! What a fun and messy way to end their unit!











The Navajo Indians Baseball team will participate in the Elk City Baseball Tournament today and tomorrow! We wish them the best of luck and safe travels!


The Navajo Indians Cross Country team will travel to Riverside to run in the Riverside Cross Country Meet tomorrow, September 9th. We wish them safe travels and the best of luck!! Go, Tribe!


The Navajo Shooter Sports team traveled to El Reno and Guthrie yesterday to shoot in the OYE Shooter Sports Contest. They did awesome and we will update everyone when the results are in!


Our first-grade classes had the pleasure of having Oklahoma Representative Gerrid Kendrix read Grandpa's Tractor to them this morning! Representative Kendrix and our first graders are participating in the Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom Read an Accurate Ag Book Week, where teachers are encouraged to educate their students on Oklahoma agriculture and agricultural practices! We would also like to thank Representative Kendrix for gifting Mrs. Funkhouser and Mrs. Winters each a copy of the book Grandpa's Tractor!



The high school Lady Indians softball team will play in the Sterling Tournament this Thursday through Saturday! Let's go, Tribe!


Our Navajo Junior High Baseball team will travel to Olustee tomorrow, September 7th, to play Olustee Eldorado at 4:15 p.m. We hope that our team and supporters have safe travels! Go, Indians!

Navajo Volleyball will host Canute on Friday, September 8th. There will be three games: junior high JV will play at 4:30, junior high V will play at 5:30, and high school V will play at 6:30. It will be a great Friday night to watch our Lady Indians play some ball!


We are kicking off our Navajo Elementary School Student of the Month Awards this month and are looking for donations to help celebrate our award winners! We are looking for candy, gift cards, small trinkets, and other small prizes for our elementary students. The junior high cheerleaders had the incredible opportunity to perform at halftime of the OSU football game this past Saturday! They have worked hard to learn the routine and they did such a great job! We are so proud of them!




The Navajo Lady Indians Softball teams will host Cordell on Tuesday, September 5th. It will be a great day for some softball! Bats start swinging at 4:30! We hope to see you there!
