Jackson County COVID-19 numbers have decreased to 6.4 (Yellow Level). We will be in person school next week April 26-29. We will continue taking safety precautions with the layered mitigation practices we have in place: wearing masks (3rd grade and under masks optional in the classroom), social distancing as much as we can, cleaning/sanitizing buildings and high touch surfaces, washing hands/sanitizing hands, using personal water bottles and refilling at water bottle refill stations. We will continue to monitor the impact of COVID on our Navajo School family and make weekly updates. Thank you for encouraging your child(ren) to continue practicing safety protocols! We appreciate everyone for their efforts! Please remind students to wear masks while on the school bus. We will reevaluate safety protocols at the end of April.

Due to new legislation, we will only be accepting applications to transfer into Navajo Schools until May 31, 2021. This applies to all students, new as well as existing students, residing outside of the Navajo District. If your address in our records is out of district an application has been sent home with your child’s progress report today. Please complete one for each child and return to the school office by April 21st.

Navajo will be hosting district baseball and softball April 22nd-23rd. Parents of students in 7th-12th grades just a reminder that parent teacher conferences are coming up this Thursday April 1st. Navajo Elementary School will host our Pre-K enrollment for the 2021 - 2022 school year on Tuesday, March 30th, in the new gym lobby from 9:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. This is open to children four years of age on or before September 1, 2021. Please bring the following: birth certificate, immunization record, and proof of residence or transfer request form.

The Navajo Indians HS baseball team will play in the championship game of the Shortgrass Conference Tournament at Navajo Saturday March 27th at 3:30 P.M. Come out and support the Tribe!!!! Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students, senior citizens and uniformed officers and military are free.
