Jackson County COVID-19 numbers have decreased from 29.7 OSSBA MAP (ORANGE LEVEL) to 14.0 (YELLOW LEVEL) OSSBA MAP. Navajo Public Schools WILL BE ON SPRING BREAK next week, March 15th-19th. We will continue taking safety precautions with the layered mitigation practices we have in place: wearing masks, social distancing as much as we can, cleaning/sanitizing buildings and high touch surfaces, washing hands/sanitizing hands, using personal water bottles and refilling at water bottle refill stations. We will continue to monitor the impact of COVID on our Navajo School family and make weekly updates. Thank you for encouraging your child(ren) to continue practicing safety protocols! Information for Junior High and High School Parents: Parent Teacher Conferences have been moved to Thursday April 1st from 3:00-9:00 P.M. If you signed up for the February conference that got cancelled then you will still have that same time slot. Congrats to the JH baseball team for winning both games yesterday in our Adam Wootton Memorial Tournament over Hobart and Frederick. They will continue play in the single elimination tournament at 10:00 A.M. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Come out and support the tribe if you get a chance.

Congratulations to the HS girls for advancing in regionals and to the boys for a great season! The girls will play Empire at 1:00 today February 23rd at Burns Flat. We have a few ticket vouchers available in the HS office if you are interested in going or see one of the coaches. Will need a voucher in order to buy a ticket at the gate ($7). February 8th-12th was National Bus Driver Appreciation Week, due to our recent weather closure we were unable to recognize our wonderful driving team. So, here at Navajo, we're having Bus Driver Appreciation Week - Take Two. February 22-26, 2021! Congratulations to the Navajo HS Girls and Boys teams for winning the first game of regionals on Saturday! Both teams will play Monday February 22nd. The girls will play Binger-Oney at 1:00 at Burns Flat and the Boys will play Burns Flat at 3:00 P.M. at Burns Flat. Fans that came to the Saturday game can use the same ticket voucher at Burns Flat. If anyone needs a ticket voucher please contact one of the coaches or myself at ddoss@navajo.k12.ok.us as we have a limited number of tickets remaining. Regionals have been moved from Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to Saturday Feb 20th @ Navajo, Monday Feb 22nd @ Burns Flat, and Tuesday Feb 23rd @ Burns Flat. Games at Navajo this Saturday start at 1:00 P.M.- Navajo vs Fort Cobb (Girls), 3:00 P.M.- Navajo vs Sterling (Boys), 6:00 P.M.- Cheyenne vs Sterling (Girls), 8:00 P.M- Cheyenne vs Fort Cobb (Boys). Each School has been issued 220 ticket vouchers to distribute to fans and those ticket vouchers are good for all 3 days. Tickets are $7 for adults and students. Only OSSAA passes are accepted. OSSAA mandates that we clear the gymnasium between games and masks are to be worn at all times unless eating or drinking.
