Congratulations to our Softball and Baseball teams for making it to the STATE Tournament!!!! Softball will play Tuesday at Firelake Softball fields in Shawnee at 2:30 P.M. against Wister. Tickets are $11.50 for adults and students and can only be purchased online. Baseball will be playing Thursday at Shawnee HS, bracket TBA Monday night or Tuesday. We will be taking a fan bus for students in 7th-12th grades and permission slips will be given out Monday May 3rd with all of the details. The fan bus will be going to both softball and baseball state tournament games. Good luck Tribe!!!!

Navajo grades 7th-12th ONLY will have a distance learning day on Tuesday May 4th. Buses will run on Tuesday May 4th and elementary (Pre-K-6th) will have in person school. Navajo grades Pre-K-12th will have a distance learning day on Thursday May 6th. Elementary Track meet at Granite for grades 4th-6th, 2nd grade field trip, and Kindergarten graduation will go on as scheduled. We will not run buses to and from school on Thursday May 6th but will provide transportation to the track meet and field trip. Just a reminder the Navajo Elementary track meet will take place Monday May 3rd.

Navajo Baseball will play at Vici today May 1st at 2:00 P.M. against Vici. The winner will advance to the State Tournament. Come to Vici to support the Tribe!!!!!

The Navajo Elementary track has been rescheduled once again. It will take place on Monday, May 3rd, as the high school softball team will be competing at the state tournament on Tuesday.

Congratulations to the Softball team for winning Regionals at Hydro yesterday!!! Softball will play at the Firelake Softball fields in Shawnee at the State Tournament on Tuesday May 4th. Tickets will only be available to purchase online for $11.50 on Saturday May 1st at 9:00 A.M. and are good for all games that day. They will be available at www.ossaa.com The championship state tournament game will be Wednesday May 5th at Oklahoma City Hall of Fame stadium at 5:30 P.M. Tickets for that game must be purchased online as well.

Baseball will play for the regional championship today April 30th at Vici at 4:00 P.M. We will play the winner of the Vici vs Seiling game. Tickets are $7 for adults and students. Come out and support the Tribe!!!!! With a win we will be going to STATE, with a loss will play again tomorrow.

Good luck to baseball and softball at regionals today April 29th. Boys will be playing today at Vici at 2:00 and 4:00 or 6:00 P.M. Girls will play at Hydro at 2:15 and until completion of the tournament. Brackets can be seen at www.ossaa.com

Jackson County COVID-19 numbers have decreased to 2.9 (Yellow Level). We will be in person school next week May 3rd-6th. We will continue taking safety precautions with the layered mitigation practices we have in place: wearing masks (3rd grade and under masks optional in the classroom), social distancing as much as we can, cleaning/sanitizing buildings and high touch surfaces, washing hands/sanitizing hands, using personal water bottles and refilling at water bottle refill stations. We will continue to monitor the impact of COVID on our Navajo School family and make weekly updates. Thank you for encouraging your child(ren) to continue practicing safety protocols! We appreciate everyone for their efforts! Please remind students to wear masks while on the school bus. We will reevaluate safety protocols at the end of April.

Due to concerns about the weather conditions overnight and tomorrow, the Navajo Elementary track meet scheduled for Wednesday April 28th, will be postponed until Tuesday, May 4th. The event times and schedules will remain the same for Tuesday.
Concession orders and payments that have already been submitted will be applied to the concession on May 4th.

Navajo Transfer Application Deadline is Approaching!!! Navajo is currently accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year. New legislation has passed and we will only be accepting applications until May 31st, 2021 for the 2021-2022 school year. We have openings in almost every grade so please apply as soon as possible. Due to new legislation, we will only be accepting applications to transfer into Navajo Schools until May 31, 2021. This applies to all students, new as well as existing students, residing outside of the Navajo District. If your address in our records is out of district an application has been sent home with your child’s progress report today. Please complete one for each child and return to the school office by April 21st.
