On Wednesday, January 31st, we will have the honor of welcoming Miss Oklahoma, Sunny Day, to our campus. She will be speaking to our students, from 1st through 12th grade, about one of her many platforms. Miss Day is an Oklahoma school teacher who is passionate about using her platform to implement a character development program called Ready S.E.T. Go: Building Skills Today for Tomorrow’s Success. This program aims to build skills that will help students succeed in the future.
This weekend some of our Navajo 4H and FFA members showed in the Chatty Ag Bash! They represented us well! Shyanne Brewer won champion Berk and Hamp as well as the reserve grand champion! We are so proud of how hard these students work!

Join us for our last home game for the Navajo Junior High Basketball season on Thursday, February 1st, as the Navajo Indians play against the Sayre Eagles! Tip-off is at 4:30!
Our Navajo Junior High and High School Basketball teams will head to Cordell to play the Devil's on Tuesday, January 30th. Junior high starts at 4:30pm and high school starts at 6:30pm. We wish our student athletes and supporters safe travels!
The Navajo Indian's Junior High and Junior High JV Basketball teams will play at home against the Mangum Tigers on January 29th at 4:30pm. We hope to see you there!
Attention Tribe, there has been a change in tonight's basketball games. The junior high girl's basketball game has been CANCELED. The junior high boys game will start at 5:00 pm, senior night will start at 6:00 pm, and the high school basketball games will begin at 6:30 pm.

Dear Navajo Family, this evening Navajo School Administration received a report of a possible threat. We immediately informed Jackson County Sheriffs Department and they did a thorough investigation. Their investigation concluded there was no credible threat! We appreciate parents ongoing communication with their children regarding school safety, and threats. Thank you for your continued support of Navajo School. Working together we can provide a safe, learning environment for all of our students.

Thank you for your support for Mario Berumen and his family. They are appreciative of the outpouring of concern and help they have already received.
For those who do not know, Mario lost his home to a fire on Saturday.
At this time, the family will be staying with friends and family. Our community is ready to help and are asking what they can do for donations. At this time, it would be conducive to receive donations in the form of gift cards. The family appreciates the collecting of clothing and household items, but they are currently restricted on how much room they have for all of the items being donated. The gift cards will allow the family to get what they need as they find they are needing to replace items.

We would like to extend our congratulations to Sadie McDowell, an eighth-grader who recently won several awards for her essay on "How America Inspires Us" through the VFW Patriot Pen program. Sadie came in first place in Jackson County, first place in Districts, and took second place at State. The VFW Patriot Pen program is open to 6th through 8th graders nationwide, and we are extremely proud of Sadie for her exceptional essay!
Congratulations to the Navajo Lady Indians Basketball team, as they are the champions of the Tri-County Tournament that was held this weekend! Way to go, Tribe!!
