Administrators pose on stage to receive award

Navajo Public Schools is proud to have been awarded the OPSRC Platinum Award at today’s OPSRC Conference, along with a $2,000 award!

The Oklahoma Public School Resource Center (OPSRC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming and enhancing academic achievement across Oklahoma’s public education system. Founded in 2013, OPSRC envisions a quality public education for every child in Oklahoma.

NPS was one of 24 schools recognized with this inaugural Breakthrough School Award. The award is given to public schools and districts across Oklahoma that demonstrate measurable academic growth, strong instructional leadership and meaningful student support.

Schools were recognized for three grade categories — elementary, K-8 and K-12 districts — with honors in four award categories: Overcomer, Sustainability, Platinum 70 and Platinum 70 Plus. The Platinum 70 and Platinum 70 Plus Awards honor top-performing districts across key measures, including graduation rates and postsecondary opportunities, while also accounting for the communities they serve based on the percentage of students who qualify for free and reduced-price lunches.

“Across Oklahoma, schools are doing extraordinary work to move students forward,” said OPSRC Executive Director Dr. April Grace. “The Breakthrough School Awards are about shining a light on that progress through a thoughtful, data-driven approach that allows us to learn from schools and districts that are moving the needle for students in our state.”

This achievement would not have been possible without our incredible faculty and staff. They are committed to providing a promising future for all Navajo Public School learners, and show up for our students every day.
