A Military-Friendly District

Navajo Public Schools would like to honor the military children and families who continually make sacrifices for our great nation. Here at Navajo, our military children make up over 30% of our student population!

Throughout the year, we honor our families in the service with events like "Purple Up Month" in April, educational partnerships with Altus AFB with our STEM classes, building tours with officers, and special events for service members and their children.

We invite you to visit us to learn more about what makes us the perfect fit for your family:

  • A close knit community of learners - Our small class sizes mean that your children will not only work directly with their teachers, but they'll also get to know their peers in classrooms with 13:1 student-to-teacher ratios. We often encourage our older classes to design lessons to our younger students, so your child will interact with teachers and students across the campus.

  • An engaged administrative team - It's not uncommon to see our principals, counselor, and superintendent working with students and interacting with them throughout the day. We take pride in our learners, and want to celebrate them for the individuals they are

  • One-building campus - from PK-12, your kids will experience a consistent learning environment that meets their academic and social-emotional needs. Attending functions and school pick-ups/drop-offs are convenient for our families

  • Highly competitive extracurricular activities - We pride ourselves on the ways students of all ages can engage with activities outside the classroom. Not only do we offer a wide variety of Fine Arts and Athletics programs, but our students consistently place at high levels of competition with post-graduation opportunities.

We encourage you to check out our extracurricular programs, the Counselor's Corner, and our district information page to learn more about Navajo Public Schools. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at (580) 482-7742.
