Navajo 7th-12th Grade Distance Learning Plan: 

Navajo teachers will communicate with students via Google Classroom and/or GroupMe for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.  Teachers will use online tools including Study Island, online textbooks, Zoom, and various projects in order for all students to have the opportunity to build relationships and continue learning.  Paper packets will be utilized IF student(s) do not have access to the internet. Paper packets will be accounted for utilizing a check off sheet that parents will initial, check off completed assignments, and return to the teacher via email or text a picture of  the check off sheet . 

Teachers will grade the students’ work; however, assignment grades will only be recorded if it increased the student’s average in the class.  Teachers will have a virtual office hour of 9:00-10:00 A.M. Monday-Thursday where they will be available to answer questions from students/parents via phone, email, zoom, etc.  Additionally, school principals will be available from 9:00-noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays to visit with parents and students about their concerns via phone, email, zoom, etc. 

Teachers will be contacting students this Thursday or Friday via Google Classroom (students will need to check their school email- first initail, last name, graduation year, @navajo.k12.ok.us  Example: ddoss98@navajo.k12.ok.us)  Students try to login and check your email;  if you cannot login to your school account email sroach@navajo.k12.ok.us and he will reset your password.  If you have any questions or are still unable to access your school email account please contact David Doss, JH/HS Principal at ddoss@navajo.k12.ok.us
